    Pros: All

    Cons: None

his was a big waste of a free movie pass. It was either see this or see The Phantom Menace again. I chose poorly. You already know the plot because you just read the title. No need to sum that up. Brendan Fraser plays Indi- I mean the lead role, along... with a bunch of unknowns. I think I may have been excited at one point. I can't remember. Oh yeah, one part I liked was when these bugs crawled under this guy's skin. It actually made me squirm (which is good, because a scary movie should do that occasionally). The special effects were worthless. You have to feel sorry for the filmmakers though. ILM did the effects, and while I was watching the movie I kept picturing this huge warehouse filled with cubicles and everyone there is working on The Phantom Menace except for the New Guy. They stuck New Guy on The Mummy. The effects are ho-hum most of the time, and painfully bad in one scene when the mummy has nearly reconstructed his old body (by assimilating the bodies of the people who freed him. Of course, it takes several bodies to do this. I guess the mummy was really fat) At this point, the Mummy is played by an actor, but there are digital effects added onto his face that are supposed to look like the old, decayed Mummy. But the effects don't stay in the same position on his face. They move around right on camera. It made me sick (because they were so bad, not because of the "decaying flesh"). The other effects weren't much better. Just like the baby Godzillas were nothing more than reworked Raptors; all the sandstorms are nothing more than reworked effects from Twister. Read more Less

Who cares about anything in the movie except the eye candy for women "ODED FEHR" "WOW" What a hunk. I like this movie but I just love him. Where has he benn hiding all my life? It's about time we get someone on the screen who isn't just another ...filthy foul-mothed so-called hero. This guy stole the show for me and if possible my heart (SIGH) Yes, all women are nuts. That's why men become more famous then women. At least men get to keep their clothes on and LOOK GOOD! Like Mr. Eye candy himslf ODED FEHR> Thank You Israel for a fine looking specimen of a man. Doesn't that sound terrible? So what, it's true. Read more Less
