Synopsis: The Mosquito Coast (1986)

    An important film to be sure, The Mosquito Coast is at once a poetic exploration of obsession, rage, and stubborness, as well as a pure expression of the dualities a son may face when the love for his father is in question.     Pros: Explores relationships at the deepest level

    Cons: Too much reality - no escape there!!!

    The film seeks to explore the question of values...it was way ahead of its time. It should be brought back in this 'age', as people are now questioning the real values of the things we strive after.
