"The Message" was a great movie beacuse I myself am a muslim. This thought me stuff that I thought I knew but didn't quite understand. This deserves my best rating because it is indeed a prominent movie has perfect actors perfect sound ...it is quite like a simulater of the prophet mohammed's life. Pros: This incredible message begins with a surprising notice by the World Council of Churches

Cons: More explanation was needed to understand early marriage in the days of the early Roman Empire and Islam

Without any background in Islam or the life of Mohammad, I was amazed to learn of his dedication to Jesus and Mohammad's concerns that His teachings were being cast aside, as the world returned to murder, plundering, and idolatry. In fact, a noti...ce in the beginning of the film was by the World Council of Churches, endorsing the film, then a notice to the viewer that we would not see images or actors depicting God (Allah, in Arabic), Jesus, Mohammad, or Abraham, out of the respect Islam holds for these great people, and God, the Creator of all. This is a film everyone needs to see in order to understand what we've read about, but without the integration of Mohammad's efforts, to stop the murdering (condoned just 200 years after the death of Jesus, by the Church, no less), and idolatry, and the Roman leader who gave him shelter because of his work and determination to continue the teachings of Jesus. No, all Islam isn't about terrorists, any more than Christianity is about the KKK, and militia. Its high time everyone checked off this DVD, to learn more about the beginnings of Islam.
