    A Thinking Man's Action Movie

Pros: A Nice Mix of Thought and Action

Cons: Sometimes Is too Demarcated betwen Dialog and Action

The Matrix is the best selling DVD of all time and rightfully so. The allegory in this movie meshed so well with the innovative action sequences that more tactile audiences didn't even notice the references to Plato, Jesus Christ and Aristotle in... the movie while the more cerebral movie goers where perhaps pleasantly surprised. Indeed, there are commentators and authors who are continuing to peel back layers upon layers of The Matrix as you read this now.The Matrix Reloaded however while still a great movie, just couldn't quite capture the seamless intergration of action and dialog that it's predecessor did. ... But what it manage to get right it got right in a big way. The philosphical arguments of Free Will vs. Destiny is put forth for debate here on top of eye popping action. Sometimes I felt like the fighting scenes were just rest for my brain and the dialog scenes were rest for my eyes, but Reloaded has some candy for all to enjoy. No matter what you go to see movies for, Reloaded is a nice mix of both. Read more Less
