    One of the Best Westerns...Ever!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 8, 2006 | 1 out of 1 found this The Magnificent Seven (1960) review helpful

Pros: Outstanding Cast and Storyline...Great Plot!

    Cons: None

Now, this is the type of western the whole family can sit down and enjoy together. That's right...everything but the horses get shot! And none of that homo-erotic crap you find nowadays in every movie genre. Excellent fighting scenes and gunpl...ay! Yul Brenner and Steve McQueen are great actors playing excellent characters in charge of a team of cowboys out to save a small Mexican village from marauders. This movie is actually a western rendition of an earlier Japanese movie, "The Seven Samarai," but is still a great movie. A must have in anyones western movie collection. Read more Less

    Simply One Of The Best

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 18, 2000

This is a classic western. Sure it is a remake of a Japanese film, The Seven Samuari, but in it's own right is a landmark western with landmark actors. Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, and James Coburn to name a few. Seven men ride to a ...small Mexican village to help them from Calvera and his men who terrorize the town and it's people. Bullets fly and guns are ablaze in this action packed western that you will want to watch again and again. Read more Less

    Tired of whining? Watch this!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 10, 1999

Classic lines, hard-nosed action, memorable music.

    Six-shooter justice at its best.

See if you can spot the name of the rail head town where the movie begins. It's still there today!

Dated but still worth a viewing

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 9, 2000 | 0 out of 1 found this The Magnificent Seven (1960) review helpful

This film is definitely showing it's age and is down right cheesy in parts, but the action makes up for it. If only the villagers weren't such wimps, I could have enjoyed it more. Not a timeless western, but if you've exhausted the classics, give th...is one a try. Read more Less

Simple , its own style, mostly for men.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 5, 1999 | 0 out of 1 found this The Magnificent Seven (1960) review helpful

This movie is for men who saw it originally in theaters and were just getting ready to cross over into puberty. It was a good example of diverse personalties sticking together to get the job done. Music was memorable.
