There are two versions of the movie!!!
Pros: looks and sounds great

I know many people have seen this so I will not write a movie review for it.
I will like to state that in the DVD, there are two versions of the movie, the Special Edition and the Theaterical edition. Personally the only difference between the two is that there is an extra song in the special edition, that's it!
As for the way the movie looks, it is clear and colorful. This edition fully utilizes the DVD experiences. The music and songs are heard in full force if you have surround sound. This DVD should be added to your disney platinum collection.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoLion King

It is one of the best Disney movies ever made. The storyline and the plot is so good. I can watch it over and over ans still think it is the first time i watched it. This should be a Disney classic. Right up their with Bambi and Dumbi.

The only 3:40 seconds of this movie worth seeing: Be Prepared, sung by Jeremy Irons (Scar).
The rest was a blatant rip-off of Kimba the White Lion.

You would think i had gotten tickets to Disney Land when i happily plunked down my reciept showing that i had a reserve copy waiting for me. I popped it in the player as soon as i got home and grabbed the tissues. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. This movie still makes me laugh and cry and of course sing along, don't act like you don't know all the words to Hakuna Matata, if you don't u are obviously not from this planet. Anywho, if you haven't gotten it, please do, it's a necessity to the kid in all of us!!!

Just a spectacular film that tugs at every emotion. The DVD extras are also incredible. The extra scene is great and seamlessly fits into the film. GET THIS DVD!

The most spectacular animated movie of all times!!
There has never been any other movie as succesfull as "THE LION KING" . I remember that summer 1994 I went to the theather with my dad and sister, I was just impressed about it!! I would call this DVD a MUST HAVE!!!!

I absolutly love the Lion King, and when this new dvd collection came out I was thrilled. I think it is the best thing they could have done!!!!Way to go Disney!!!
