This films main title should have been The George Gershwin follies and friends. This film marked a valuable turn in filming using color, unfortunetly only at time Blue and Red where the colors available However all of the productions where as elabora...te a full Busby Burkley dance secquence lasting the entire film. You get to see some people perform that later became famous on there own like; Bing Corsby and Rhythm Boys before he became famous, Roy Bargy and what a great Pianist a Young Eddie Peabody on the Banjo and not to mention George Gershwin performing Rhapsody in Blue the way it was originally suppose to be performed That performance alone is incredible as you see the Giant Blue Piano and as the lid opens with the Paul Whiteman Band inside being lifted up by hydrolics,WOW! This is who George wrote it for in the first place. anyway all performances are fun to see and listen too. The whole movie is great history lesson and a lot of fun Enjoy... Read more Less
