A lofi project that drew on influences as disparate as Iron Wine, the Books, and the Sea and Cake, the Juliet Kilo began in 2003 when David Levin started making recordings in his basement studio. He released his first Juliet Kilo album a few years later, shortly after he moved from Ohio to Boston. The album was featured on NPR's All Things Considered soon after it was released.
