The Jealous Girlfriends
Brooklynbased indie rock ensemble the Jealous Girlfriends largely center around the songwriting duo of vocalist Holly Miranda and keyboardist/multiinstrumentalist Alex Lipsen. Formed in 2004 after the longtime solo artist befriended studio owner/producer Lipsen, the Girlfriends added guitarist Josh Abbott and drummer Mike Fadem and began performing around New York City. They released their debut album, Comfortably Uncomfortable, on Sweet Spot Records in 2005.
