Mark Wahlberg always does something different that no one else would be better for the part but him. He always plays in a movie that makes him seem smart and strong and thats what alot of women look for in a man. so this movie was a big plus for wome...n everywhere. the other actors were just as good. they nailed those parts and once again they couldn't of cast any better actors for this phenominal movie. This is a great action movie that everyone MUST see. It was recommended to me by my parents and since we used to own a video store for about 10 years, I thought it was a good idea to listen, lol. Cons: No sequel.

Beautiful screenplay. Nice camera shots and ideas. The acting is not bad. Storyline is quite good and imaginative. The action sequences are superbly shot and well choreographed. The minnie are divine heavenly. The actors fit well into their roles. Th...ey even do some of their own stunts. i.e. skippering a speeding boat. Doing 360s in cars. Damn good car chases. I especially like the hacking/cracking part. :-) The ideas are also quite realistic and genuinely unique. Delgihtfully, (i can't imagine me saying this.) the lack of, erm, certain *AHEM scenes, was rather tasteful and came out well... Love it to the core.I'm biased of course. What with Charlize Theron in the movie and all. Or it could be because i was expecting it to be more on all those boring car chases. Not bad.I'd give it a four. And even that is because i am still waiting for that one amazing movie that will be made one day. Else i would have given this a five(or a six). :-)Cheers. Read more Less

Pros: It wasn't a longer movie

Cons: Noisy, unimaginative.

Don't waste your time on this one. The noisy soundtrack never stopped. It's obvious F. Gary Gray watched a lot of movies because there wasn't anything I haven't seen in other movies.

Refreshing and enjoyable

Pros: great action scenes - the Mini's were awesome!

Cons: monotone acting in the first few scenes.

Having never seen the original, this proved to be a movie with all of the elements of a great action flick. The chase scenes were incredible, especially the Mini Coopers and all of the stunt driving (which was done mostly by the actors themselves). ... A great ensemble cast made up for the mediocre performances by the lead actors. It was nice to see a good dose of comedy relief, and Mos Def and Seth Green really kept us laughing. A great story with a few twists and keeps you interested 'til the end. Highly recommended. Read more Less

Nothing special here but the movie does entertain. Car chases, boat chases, explosions galore are all here for fun. None of the performances stand out due to the lame script they have to recite. Their are some nice twists to the story that keep you i...nterested for 2 hours. This movie overall is a fair attempt to duplicate The Score. A 10 time better movie. My advice- Wait for the dollar show and wait for a used dvd copy when it comes out. Read more Less
