GREAT FAMILY FILM!
This is one of the best family films since, 'The Sand Lot'!
It has an excellent story line and characters that everyone can relate to.
The moral of the story is one that will inspire young minds in very positive ways also.

this is the worst movie of all time. I was forced to watch it for "fun" time in school like every year like 3 times a year till 6th grade it is torrible.

Not bad, but certainly not as good as the book. The casting of the Omri character was an inspired choice as he's not your typical looking child actor. The special effects are well done and we understand Omri's inner conflict and yet something's missing. I guess it's just not all that fun to watch. Fans of the book should check it out, but don't expect anything too great.
