Pros: Just About Everything
Cons: Almost Nothing
As you watch this; it should come as no surprise that this full length feature interpretation of yet another fictional entity by Stan Lee was unable to do that well at the box office after its initial release. After all Ang Lee was with an interest to develop the story as well as its integral characters to good effect (which were- for those who take note- Eric Bana Jennifer Connelly Sam Elliott and Nick Nolte). Because "The Hulk"- or rather Lee and the creative team that would assist him- chose this direction and would thus explore the strain between those at question in this story; it is therefore without the quick thrills of the all too lightweight "Spiderman". Therefore the detractors who whine about the "plot" appear to do so because "The Hulk" in fact has one which takes time to unfold. Others who complain about the appearance of the title character which results from computer animation leave at least few incredulous since the former circle wish for Lou Ferrigno in full regalia. Perhaps the comic book medium is just not suitable for the general populace that comprise the mainstream. One example of this is the audience that would object to "Batman Returns" but would remain nostalgic for the incarnation of "Batman" by Adam West. "The Hulk"-just as the second installment of that franchise- does indeed succeed but not in areas that most recognize.
Pros: Good Effects
Cons: Boring
What a Bore. The Hulk looked cool but the movie stinked BIG TIME.Hollywood needs to stay away from Super Heros they ruin them.
Pros: I Didn't Pay To See This Movie
Cons: The Movie
The Incredible Hulk was one of my favorites as a kid. I'm so disappointed with this movie. What a snoozefest!!! 30 Minutes into the movie, I was wondering when we would see the Hulk. 41 minutes into the movie, we saw the Hulk, for a couple of seconds. Then we couldn't see him, then we could. Then something was happening, but the movie was so dark we didn't know what it was. Then some dogs, I think, attacked, but we're not sure because it was too dark. Strange shapes and unusual angles, something white for a second. What was that? I didn't see, it was too dark.
OK, here's the scoop. You ever watch one of the pay TV channels when you didn't pay for it, and the screen is split on the sides? That's what it's like watching this movie at times. And I don't mean when they have multiple box's of different angles all at the same time. With this movie, you can hear what's happening, but you can't see it happening.
If you have to see this movie, borrow my copy, and keep it.
Pros: the best part of this movie is that it ended.
Cons: very poorly done movie
this was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen.It was deffinately the worst I saw this year.
I had high hopes for it when I went to the theater
, and they were
shatterd. the only good thing about this movie is that it ended. I hope no more of the comic book movies are ruined like this one!
Pros: None
Cons: Plenty
Terrible movie and way too long. Definately not a kid movie. We all about fell asleep half way through the snoozefest. Got tired real quick of Nick Nolte and his raspy, whispering voice. Rent DO NOT buy if you want to see the movie.
Pros: Wonderful Movie
Cons: You expect an action hero.
Since all I had heard was mostly bad reviews of the film, I went in without expectations or pre-concieved ideas as to how the movie was done. And was pleasantly surprised. I have watched it twice now and each time I like it more. I believe if you go into this, as many of those who have seen it, expecting to see another Marvel movie such as Spiderman or Daredevil, you will be sorely disappointed. The Hulk has never really been the superhero of that type. The spirit of the movie is very much Marvel meets the X-files.
It is a contemplative movie, and expect some "artsy-fartsy" type of symbolism in some places. Don't get me wrong...it's not some deep thought provoking movie from the likes of David Lynch or someone. It just goes a bit deeper than, "this is wolverine, he's angry, he slices things up."
The CGI in the movie is awesome. It is like seeing the begining of a new era in CGI, like when they first did the Latex costume for Godzilla. You know it is done with a computer, but most times you forget.(Okay, you never really forgot the fact that it was a really bad costume, but at the time it was fairly ground breaking=)) Thank-God the Hulk didn't move like the characters in Final-fanatasy: stiff, little to know facial expression, and no muscles under the skin. Wonderful Story and even more impressive when you watch disk two and hear of the evolution of the entire movie. Ang Lee did and excellent job with his cast and crew. A definite buy!!! You will watch more than once.
Pros: Tizoute
Cons: Malou
HULK / **** (PG-13)

Ang Lees adaptation of the Marvel comic classic is a beautiful movie. Ang Lee makes the story timeless once again for the future generation. The special effects are exceptional.
Nick Nolte is a brilliant scientist who is losing himself by searching ways to change the immunity system of human beings. Nevertheless, Sam Elliot, a commander in military does believe that such research is a great menace to the future of the world. Consequently, the scientist could not get a license to do his research freely.
On day, the commander finds out the secret place of the scientist and goes over there. After lots of discussion, the scientist, under anger, decides to destroy his laboratory by programming a bomb to explode in 30 minutes. Then he goes home. When he arrives there, he tells his wife that he changed the immunity system of Bruce since he was a baby.
Now he wants to kill his son, but it will not happen. While he is approaching him, his wife runs to avoid that. However, she loses her life in the process. Consequently, Bruces father was arrested and isolated from the society for more than 30 years.
Bruce grows up and becomes such a brilliant student. He went to the University and got a Philosophy Degree. He starts doing thoughtful research with some friends that he met at the University, and Betty is one of them. However, they are being watching by people from a top-secret military research center who believe that such research can have bad consequences on the life of humanity. Bruce and his friends were told to destroy their laboratory. The movie creates a great desire to keep watching it. Moreover, I could not leave my seat even for a bathroom break.
Here is where the real story starts. Bruce is exposed to a massive dose of gamma radiation. This situation will cause him to transform into a monstrously powerful and savage green-skinned man whenever he loses control of his emotions. The lesson is simple to learn: Do not make Bruce angry. When he is angry, he loses control.
The army of the United States of America tries every kind of weapon to catch him, but none of them works. Being the most powerful man in the earth, Bruce is able to avoid those weapons with his hands. Bruce is unique. As his father says:
My son is unique; because he is unique the world will not accept his existence.
Hulk has a general tone of sadness. It shows through conversations that he and Betty have emotional problems. It is all about their love to overcome anger. In addition, Bruce feels so bad because his father changed his immunity system. When someone makes him lose control, he reacts as he is giving a response to his father. This is what I understand through this quote:
When I lose control
, I like it
Hulk is all about rage, power and freedom. The Hulk is a very good movie. It keeps my attention from the beginning to the end. I was never so concentrated at any movie before as much as I was at the Hulk. I really enjoyed it.
Pros: cgi, was the best I've seen
Cons: bana was very monotone, didn't capture the rage well..
I was a bit weary at first of the film, like I was with spiderman. I thought the cgi was to much involved with the film and thought at some points it looked like a video game. The story was dragged out, but thought that the movie didn't have to refer to bana and his "anger issues" every 5 minutes. The one thing I thought to be the worst turned out to be the best and really only highlight of the film and that was the way they made the "hulk" not look fake.
i have always enjoyed the character and i like how they bring him to life, the way he moves, his facial expressions.sometimes it was difficult to see what exactly what was going on in the fight. all around i dig the movie
the movie was great there are some skeptics out there but as a fan of the comics it was a great process of filmaking and ang lee should do another comic to screen movie.

I was really expecting more from this film. The Hulk was cool, i mean the computer animation, but the whole plot kinda sucked, they could stick to the story and still make it much better.
it was good in all but some of it was just uhhhhhhhhh i didnt even see the green machine till bout the second hour practilly!! but it was still kick ass!!
Don't get your hopes yet! I know I will see it but I think it may suck-ass! From what I have seen from the trailers it looks like it will be bad. But I hope I'm wroge!
