    I think this is one of the best films out there! Great script! Superb acting! Fantastic photography! Impressive soundtrack!Have you ever considered what choices would you have if you had been a young woman in Victorian times? What if you were both n...aive and not educated to deal with the real world on your own? Now the twist: add to that condition a sence of decency.........Moral rectitude is admirable...yet..sometime

    This is by far was an excellent performance by the wonderfully talented Gillian Anderson. This film was quite good. It was very much like the book. It was something that I think adults would get the most out of seeing it.
