Synopsis: The Honeymooners - The Classic 39 Episodes (2003)
Synopis: Although it only aired for one season, The Honeymooners remains one of the funniest and most beloved TV shows of all time. Its brilliant comic interplay has influenced television comedy throughout the years, and its trademark one-liners have carved out a permanent spot in American pop culture ("one of these days, Alice!"). This collection includes every episode from its sadly limited 1955-56 run--a total of 39 episodes, affectionately known as the "classic 39." Rediscover the magic and hilarity as Brooklyn bus driver Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason) trades barbs with his feisty wife Alice (Audrey Meadows) and plans get-rich-quick-schemes with his upstairs neighbor Ed Norton (Art Carney).Features: The Honeymooners - The Classic 39 Episodes (2003)

Pros: Great set at a great price
Cons: Sound quality could be better
Those who bought the set full set of 39 episodes on VHS or Laser Disc paid well over $100 for these episodes. A few months ago (before I knew this set was in the works) I went on E-bay to find that the laserdisc set was holding its value. I couldn't be happier that this set is now available on DVD! These episodes never get old. The sound quality could be better though. I have a DVD/TV combo at work, and I have to turn it up considerably higher than I have to with other DVD's to hear the dialog, but I don't seem to notice it as much on my home tv. Not chock full of special features, but I didn't buy the set for bells and whistles. This is a must for any true Honeymooners fan. ...
