A side project for Calvin Johnson from Beat Happening and Built to Spill's Doug Martsch, the Halo Benders released their first album, God Don't Make No Junk, in 1994. After 1996's Don't Tell Me Now, they reunited again in 1998 for The Rebels Not In.
