drunkeness, disloyalty and petty viciousness among the rich elite during the Depression years. Why should anyone care? The novels by S FitzG were written about cookooland, the films on their themes are equal to the task

The Great Gatsby is faithful to the book and very very enjoyable. Redford does a good job as Gatsby.
