    Pros: Goood Movie

    Cons: Looks weak on dvd

    We all know this is a good film. The problem is with the terrible dvd picture. There's now way with this being a classic film that they couldn't have upgraded it on dvd better. The hole thing is fuzzy. The studio should remaster the movie and... when it comes out stop selling this one. Read more Less

    This is a convincing follow up to FrancisFord Copolla's masterpiece...It is not quite as good as the original but it is still decent...Robert Deniro shinesand deserves his best supporting actor oscarfor the portrayal of Vito Corleone...Al Pacino del...ivers an always stellar performance...The depths of character are shown in this movie & one of the most unforgiving scenes in cinematic history- The Hail Mary scene when Michael orders the death of his own brother Fredo..     The Godfather is a stunning masterpiece, and this sequel is in every way, equal to the original.In The Godfather Part 2, we are shown the ascension of Michael Corleone (Pacino) as the new Don and at the same time, shown the rise of young Vito Corleon...e (played brilliantly by Robert DeNiro) in Sicily. As his dealings in the mafia become more conspicuous, Michael is faced with public humiliation, family betrayals, revenge and retribution. Young Vito, after the murder of his parents, deals with having to support a family and handing over everything to the neighbourhood boss Don Fanuci. As the story continues, we delve deep into Michael and Vito's life simultaneously which proves for professional movie making.Not many sequels are worthy of living up to the original in many cases, but a brilliant script and powerful performances from Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Talia Shire and John Cazale brought this movie up to the highest of all standards.     THIS MOVIE IS. It is without a shadow of a doubt the greatest movie ever made...EVER!!Just when you thought that Coppolla could not outdo himself...well, he does. The sheer beauty of the scenery, the precision and authenticity of the non-English sc...enes and the masterful use of flashbacks makes this a true epic. Robert DeNiro is stunning in his role as young Vito and Al Pacino is great as the heartless Michael. Diane Keaton is very convincing as the hurtful wife. Robert Duvall is great again as Consegliere Tom Hagen. If you have not seen this picture yet, don't rent it, buy it. You'll save money in the long run. If I had to take only one movie to the afterlife or to a deserted island, it would be this masterpiece. If I could marry one movie this would be it. Read more Less

    Godfather Part II is probably the best all time film. Godfather I was brilliant but the sequel was outstanding. Robert De Niros' role was excellent as young Vito, and Al Pacino played Micheal brilliantly. If you havn't seen this movie, you are reall...y missing out on a masterpiece.
