The minimal experimental sounds of the Fun Years are produced by turntablist Isaac Sparks and baritone guitarist Ben Recht. The unusual instrumentation often leads to tracks over ten minutes long. After a handful of their own recordings on CDR, the duo was brought aboard by Brooklyn's Barge Recordings for its first proper release, LifeSized Psychoses (April 2007).
