The Four Charms
Led by former Mighty Blue Kings bassist Jimmy Sutton, the Four Charms play retro jump blues and swing that references such late'40s and '50s icons as Tiny Grimes and Jimmy Preston. Recruited by Sutton over a yearandahalf period, the band features guitarist/vocalist Joel Paterson, saxophonist Jonathan Doyle, and drummer Jim Barclay. The band released it's debut album, Flatland Boogie, on HiStyle in 2000.
