Children of a Gaelic speaker and occasional singer from the isle of Barra and a Glasgow police inspector who sang choral music, opera, and musichall songs, the Fishers have become respected traditional and contemporary folksingers. Archie Fisher sings the old songs, as well as writing his own, Ray sings the old ballads in a magnificent voice, and Cilla, with her husband Artie Tresize, performs both traditional and contemporary music as well as a large repertoire of children's music.
