I don't know why people call it the scariest movie of all time either. It is a little boring. I had to fast foward a few parts. But still a pretty good movie.

The Exorcist- The Version You've Never Seen is much better that the original version. It contain 9 minutes of unseen footage which contain the famous Spider Walk. It is truly a great movie. The Widescreen transfer 1:85:1 is much better than the one o...n the Special Edition and the sound has been digitally remastered and in in a Dolb Digital 5.1 Ex. This is a good movie to have in the DVD collection. It is just a pity they had no special features except the tralier and TV spots. But it is a truly great film! Read more Less

Pros: Very Scary not recommended for children

Cons: Very Scary..you'll see her face in every dark place for a long time.

I saw this movie when I was 14 back in 1974. I had read the book and couldn't wait to see the movie. My Mom wouldn't let me see it and I should have listened. I'm 46 now and I still won't watch it again. It is the scariest movie I hav...e ever seen. I couldn't sleep for WEEKS without a light on and I wore a huge cross around my neck for months. I would never let my children watch this movie under any circumstances. It is an adult movie. If you want scary.. Watch it. Read more Less

Cons: Only on the uncut! Spider scene is best left out!

The first time I saw this movie I was 13 years old.The movie had been banned in the UK so I had to watch it on a pirate vhs! (naughty I know). Still when I did see it I was hooked! I watched it over and over again! The battle between good and evil.Th...e strange eerie atmosphere that seems to revolve around this movie captured me.This is the only movie that I've watched that I know off by heart.Word for word (sad maybe). The book is even better!! I've read that loads too! LOL! A lot of people say it's not scary.In many ways they are right.I don't find it scary.Things don't jump out at you.Blood and guts don't get spattered everywhere.The movie is more psychological.You yourself make it scary or not.Depending on how you look at it.Try watching it on your own with headphones on! I did.Believe me it's worth it!
