A somewhat directionless electronics-based group that formed in Oxford, England, in 1994, the Egg released a couple of singles on Cup of Tea before linking with Indochina for the 1996 debut full-length, Albumen. (In the U.S., the album was released through Discovery.) Maff Scott (drums), twin brother Ned (keyboards), Dave Gaydon (bass), and Mark Revell (guitar) continued releasing singles at a somewhat steady pace until 1998's Travelator, which was released on China (and yet not in the U.S.).
