Terrible movie with good car chases!

Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville star as Luke and Bo Duke who are in a race to save Uncle Jesse's Farm from the evil developer Boss Hogg and Sheriff Bosco.
There is hardly any funny moments in this movie. There is a cheap cameo of the "supertroopers" character and this felt like a Broken Lizard movie with all the actors; after all, the director is one of the Broken Lizard guys. Unfortunately, this movie was beginning to bore me and it's only 95 minutes. The only good scenes were the chases as you see some fantastic stunt driving and drifting.
One of the worst movies of the summer, don't even bother renting it. This time I agree with the critics, this is a terrible TV remake!!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoDukes of Hazzard

it was alright. it's not a movie that i can watch more than 3 times in my life time. it's good to rent but not buy. thats unless your a big Jessica simpson fan. she didn't act to bad in it either. but i thing the hazzard brother are the ones who kept the movie a little interesting.

This movie i really liked, its a great comedy about the Dukes. All 3 cousins help eachother and the town from being made into a mine. Makes you laugh especially with Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott as the actors.

This is definately not the original. Jesse smokes pot & swears. Bo & Luke are just a bunch of hornballs. And the director went out of his way to insult southern tradition.
However, if you aren't a diehard Dukes fan, and you don't mind the insulting insinutaions about southern pride, then it is a very good, very funny movie. The jumps & car chase are every bit as good as the original, if not better. The cast, while nothing like the original cast, work very good together and are very funny! Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott work so good together and are so funny! While I think that Burt would've made a better Roscoe, I did enjoy him in this movie. He definately belonged there. Willie Nelson was great, and fit the role of Jessie perfectly. Overall, it was a very funny movie, with some great action from the General Lee. If nothing else, watch this movie to see the car. This is quite possibly the stupidest movie ever made. I could feel myself getting dumber as I watched it. It stars a car, and Jessica Simpson's butt. That's it. Occassionally one of them does something mildly interesting-but overall, it's just a waste of time.

First of all the only reason why I am reviewing this movie is because I grew up watching the TV series up untill season 5 that is because fake dukes and miniatures did not work for me, this movie is completely stupied but when you have a few down it seems to be good mindless entertainment, too me Burt Reynolds
playing Sorrell Booke is Ridiculous! Danny DeVito is a much better pick in my opinion but hey who cares right? For a Dukes of Hazzard movie to exist in the 21st century one should have to suspend all preconceived notions of what a Dukes of Hazzard movie should be. To me this movie is serves as nothing more than a commercial gimmick (to get Yall interested in the TV series)Well my advice here is if your a fan of the TV series don't expect much or you will be dissappionted. I was skeptical at first about this movie only because most of the time when they remake a movie it doesn't do the original justice. BUT, I do have to say this turned out great! A little of the past mixed with modern times.
