The Dogs
French new wavers the Dogs (not to be confused with American groups of the same name) took their inspiration from '60s garage and British Invasion bands, much like the Flamin' Groovies. Natives of the Normandy region, the Dogs recorded a series of indie singles in 1977 and 1978 before debuting on LP with Different in 1979. The lineup shrunk from a two-guitar quartet to a trio on 1980's Walking Shadows and 1981's Too Much Class for the Neighborhood, rising back to a quartet for 1983's Legendary...
