The Delta Jukes are a loose configuration of veteran Mississippi blues musicians anchored by legendary delta drummer Sam Carr. Carr is the son of bluesman Robert Nighthawk, and started out playing in his father's band, alongside guitarist Frank Frost. Frost and Carr formed the Jelly Roll Kings following Nighthawk's death, adding Big Jack Johnson on guitar.
