    The movie was pretty good.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 30, 2003

The movie was good. This movie had really graphic violence which sometimes bothered me a little bit. The special features are not that great. The documentaries are like 5 minutes except for the bird one. It is like 10 minutes. The picture is good. Sound is good. The movie is pretty good. Just rent it though in my opinion. But if you want the whole series buy this but I say just stick to the original. I have not seen the second one. I hear mixed reviews about that movie. I hope wicked prayer turns out to be really good.

    The Crow at its best!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 7, 2002

The Crow: Salvation is a really good movie with Eric Mabius as Alex Corvis who is framed and wrongfully executed for the murder of his girlfriend, Lauren Randall (Jodi Lyn O' Keefe). After he is executed, he returns from the dead to get revenge on the cops who murdered Lauren. He then meets Lauren's younger sister Erin (Kirsten Dunst) who helps him out and tries to prove to everyone that Eric is innocent. It would've been great if Brandon Lee starred in it. This is a must see!

The only REAL "The Crow" film is the fir

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 11, 2002 | 0 out of 1 found this The Crow: Salvation (2000) review helpful

Which I also consider to be the last. There simply is NO other film in "the series" worth watching. The Crow was meant to be one film and one film only. Due to the cult status of the first, and the excellence that it was, was shamelessly copied to try and earn some more cash for the greedy ovie industry. It is a travesty for such unabashed commercialism to continuiously try to ripoff great movies to turn over another buck. :-(

ok well i liked this movie alot more then alot of other movies it has alot of good things about it but it also has alot of things that could have been better but just by watching it i knew it wasnt for every one it didnt have the same gothic thrill of the first crow but i did like that they stayed true to the calling card of the crow but they screwed up the crow can only see the truth near the ending he saw lies and well he could have remembered that he can only see the truth but its still a good movie its not the best but its good and true fans will buy it anyway but for the people who just like the crow rent it before u buy

    Sad excuse for a sequel

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 10, 2001 | 0 out of 1 found this The Crow: Salvation (2000) review helpful

This movie was an extreme disappointment. It was another example of how producers will milk a cult film (the original Crow) for what it's worth. There was nothing original or creative about the plot (the special effects were almost an exact replica of the first) and the fight scenes were a hybrid of the original Crow and the now defunct television Crow. Kirsten Dunst cast as the love interest has her talents wasted on little character development, poor dialogue and and even a poorer supporting cast. Then again with a script such as the one in Salvation there was not much left to work with. Until a better script is found The Crow should rest in peace so as to preserve the work Brandon Lee helped to create in the first film.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 29, 2001

After The Crow: City Of Angels, I thought that this one would have been even more disappointing but it really is an excellent addition in The Crow collection. With superbly choreographed action scenes, brutal violence, fantastic performances by Kirsten Dunst and Eric Mabius, The Crow: Salvation proves that some sequels can be surprisingly entertaining.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 12, 2001 | 0 out of 1 found this The Crow: Salvation (2000) review helpful

The third installment was clearly a money crank and not made with the first two or the concept of the Crow in mind. It's an OK movie but as a Crow, sequel is not quite there.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 4, 2001

This Movie was great, granted iy wasn't the most supported movie ever, but It was definitely worth seeing. The plot was good, the way it was portrayed was done well, though I know some of the scenes I read in the script aren't there(they can't use everything). The movie had a great impact, and I loved it, though it didn't relate much with the second, I saw good ties to the first. As Eric Draven(Brandon Lee) said in the First, "Victims Aren't We All" which relates to "Remember The Victims" which is the thought you are left with in this one.

The bad writeing, terrible story, and BAD directing made this movie to apear as a group of friends put it together.

Eric Mabius was pretty good he has potential as an actor, but he doesnt have the presence for playing The Crow.

the film had a great concept but the story was soo bad and the dialogue was lame and stupid.

dont buy it rent it, better yet have someone else rent it or wait for it to be on skinamx.

Not up to par with the original, budget in this movie was very low, some of the acting was bad, I like the crow better with long hair, also where did his makeup come from? and why was there a helicopter in that one scene? heliocopters are used for armed robbery and manhunts. The movie wasn't terrible, it just wasn't made with 100% effort by all parties. Oh and the one-liners were ear piercing, not as bad as batman anf robin though.

This film was a great thriller but as part of the crow series it still dosent meet up with the original! it thought the action was great the story was good but it didnt have the dark feel of the first one! the good news is it s ten times better then the second one which was a waste of time and film! Well i gave it 3 stars because it was enjoyable but i think they better stop while they are ahead to many more and the entire franchise of the crow will go down as a big joke!

    The Crow - Salvation

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 27, 2001 | 1 out of 1 found this The Crow: Salvation (2000) review helpful

The 3rd entry in the Crow series does justice to the cult-classic original, and takes a few liberties with the now-familiar premise of love, death, and revenge from beyond the grave.

Eric Mabius plays Alex Corvis, a man put to death for the crime of murdering his girlfriend, Lauren Randall (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe). However, he's innocent of the crime, and his sentence was a set up. The restorative power of the Crow awakens the dead Alex Corvis...his face now scarred by the electric chair in which he was executed. One by one, he hunts down the ones behind the murder, and the conspiracy, helped by Erin Randall (Kirsten Dunst), the sister of his deceased girlfriend.

Eric Mabius sets a different tone from his predecessors (Vincent Perez, and the late Brandon Lee), by portraying a dead man who takes some real joy in the use of his restorative powers. Appropriate, since his character is just 21 years of age. His performance is often subtle, yet very moving, and it fits the nature of his character. Kirsten Dunst's character isn't given the greatest dialogue, but she makes good use of it, turning in another good performance. Genre vets William Atherton, Dale Midkiff and Fred Ward all turn in strong performances, as well as being visible to fans of science fiction and horror. "Nash Bridges" and "Halloween H2O" alum, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, is wonderful in her handful of scenes, and will leave you wanting more.

The film has a wonderfully dark, artsy atmosphere thanks to the work of director Bharat Nalluri, who makes good use of a small budget. The eerie scoring of Marco Beltrami sets a wonderful tone throughout the film, and Like the first two entries in the series, "Salvation" benefits from its powerful Soundtrack, featuring Filter, Kid Rock, Stabbing Westward, Hole, Rob Zombie, and many more. The music helps set the tone of the film, and each song fits perfectly into the scenes in which it is placed.

All in all, "The Crow - Salvation" is a VERY strong film. Its only weaknesses are some occasionally hokey dialogue, and a potentially confusing climax. The script could have used a couple more rewrites to iron out these difficulties, but nonetheless, "Salvation" is a well-paced, suspenseful, atmospheric ride. Well worth your 90 minutes!

i went to rent this the first day it came out right after school on the 20th because ive been waiting to see this for a long time...ive been a fan of the crow since the comic books and this movie is the best.. the story line was good the cast was good and they mixed this movie up.. because it was kind of a mystery/thriller.. and eric mabius was a good crow. id dont see why they didnt release it in theatres. dimension should be ashamed because it would have been a hit in the box office.... and dmx should not be in the next one!!!!!!!! i dont want a hip hop influence on the crow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a movie this was a very good movie,i really enjoyed it a lot.And for the people who dont seem to understand There is more than one crow!Thats why they can make more than 1 movie yes the first was an incredible movie and it was a tradgedy that brandon died but come on people making a sequal of a movie where they had planned on making more isnt a "insult to the memory of brandon".Read the comics the sequals should be judged by themselves not compared to the first

This is a pretty damn good movie!!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 21, 2001

Before I start, I want to say that I gave it a five because I can see the difference between this is and the previous installments. I am not comparing this movie to either of the other two although I will use comparisons to make my point.
Now to the people that put this movie down before they saw it: Stop watching movies because you don't know anything. This movie was sent to hell by Dimension Films, and that is sad beacuse this is the second best movie in this series without a doubt. Now, being that here are only three movies, that may not be saying much, but the first movie was so great, this one cannot take it's place.
This movie by far stands alone, and it avoided doing what the first sequel did. It did not try to incoperate everything from the first. (i.e. Outlandish bad guys, huge action scenes, wierd coloration effects.)
    City of angels sucked...no doubt.
I really wish this movie would have been released in the theatres because it would have brought my opinion about movies back from the depths of hell that they are in now. I am sick of getting hyped up for a movie just to be let down. Trust me when I say, I have waited a long time for this movie and I loved it. They story was great, the begining and the middle of this movie are fantastic. The ending gets a little sluggish, but it is hard to do original things with a somewhat limited genre. I mean how much can you really do with subject matter that can't die until it succeeds at what it is trying to do.
The music at the end also got a bit retarded and I wish Revel would have done this score as well. But, the movie was great, and as a fan, I must say: That is enough.

    Why knock a good movie?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 20, 2001

I don't understand why others have dismissed this film simply because it's a sequel. The film has lots of WONDERFUL twists and turns in the plot and definately kept me in suspense, wondering what could possibly happen next. This movie tries as hard as it can to be original, yet to still have the same plot as the first two. I wouldn't even compare this with City of Angels because that one tried way too much to copy the original. Bottom line: Do not judge the movie until you've seen it, and DEFINATELY watch this movie!!

    The Crow lives on.........

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 8, 2001

I agree, the original "The Crow" is the best of them all but I don't see how making these sequels will trivialise the effort of the first one...if anything it will show everyone how good the first one really is...
Stop winging about the sequels and just enjoy them as NEW films...and be honest, they're not that bad...

    The Crow

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 6, 2001

I must agree that the original Crow was the best, however to fully appreciate or even understand the Crow it helps to know where it actually came from. James O'Barr is the author of the Crow comics - it is a series in which the Crow stays constant, not the character. The Crow is a portal for a wrongfully murdered person to avenge his death or those of his loved ones. So even if Brandon had not died in the first one he would not have been in the sequel since Eric Draven's character no longer existed. The orginal Crow actually was softened after Brandon's death - City of Angels and Salvation follow the comic more closely. Try looking at th comic and then watch City of Angels again and see the difference. The sequels aren't meant to be blasphenous to Brandon - the Crow simply carries on from character to character.

the first movie was the best. it should have stopped there. why are you ruining the movie. every sequel or additon reins the origonal. please quit massicering the movie. i did love the first one but after 3 sequals going on a forth i don't think i can stand it. you are hurting the crow fans, and mocking the final folm Brandon Lee made. let it rest in peace as a tribute to Brandon and Elza.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 11, 2000

Um, just wondering how bad this movie must be if they send it straight to video instead of the movie theaters. Just a clue people, the crow series seems to be taking a downward path. And I am sorry, but who the hell thought up Lazarous or what ever the hell it is called? Especially DMX playing in it, that is going to really suck. Who cares about a rapper getting gunned down if he is already some crack smoking, drug pushing, gangster thug. Screw that movie plot, I will just buy the DVD of Brandon Lee's The Crow and remember the good old days of movies!
