crow box set
, April 10, 2001Reviewer: quamter - See all quamter's reviews1 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this The Crow Collection Box Set review helpful first i think it should have had all 3 crows (actor and bird) on the cover or brandon lee alone, but this isnt the crow salvation, so eric mabius shouldn't be the one featured on the cover, but it's very cool.
i wish they would release the tv series out as a boxed set

the great thing about the crow being on dvd is how clear and great the sound is. DVD is a much better expierience by far compared to VHS.
Now for the special edition features...
the Crow has the best to offer which the other two DVD movies lack. but there still isn't much here. what should have been is a long version of the making. they showed a 16 minute edited version why not show it all?
the making of the Crow is only 16 minutes long and doesn't show much. only a few minutes of Brandon Lee talking about the movie. theres more on the vhs version of his interview then what was left on this DVD.
the cut scenes were pretty cool. but the Skull Cowboy scenes weren't inlcuded on the DVD only the storyboards which are drawings of how the scene was to be directed.
Alex Proyas the DIRECTOR didnt want anything to do with the Crow box set, he wouldnt alow JEFF MOST (the Producer of all three Crow films)let him put the private Video Alex Proyas made while on the set of the film.
but Jeff Most wanted to make more money off the Crow no matter how private the video may be but Proyas would not alow it, also Alex Proyas wouldnt participate in the Directors Comentary.
I don't blame Proyas for his desisions. there should have never been sequels to the film for Brandon Lee's sake. but JEFF most saw the property of the Crow as being a cash Cow and even if sequels would have been made with or without him he joined along to be apart of that profit.
to bad all the Crow movies he made after the original bombed, or werent even released to theaters. JEFF MOST is still making Crow films to this day. he is trying to make a third crow movie. he can't let go, he will still sell Crow DVDS, Special Special* Editions, and he will keep producing bad movies.
The Crow city of Angels, this movie isn't even worth buying. The story was terrible the acting was embaressing everything about this movie is forgettable.
the special edition feature of this movie has a making of documentary but it falls short as only being less then 16 minutes.
None of the cut scenes from the movie were included on the DVD. So why should you buy this dvd? you shouldnt.
the Crow Salvation. better then the secound but still a bad movie.
there is no behind the scenes feature, or deleted footage. only a 4 minutes Behind the Make-up feature.
there is a directors comentary with the cast and crew of salvation. but why listen to a group of people talk about how they made a bad film?
all three DVD'S show Productuon design stills but there not even worth looking at. there not of the characters, mostly of buildings. unused poster designs shown on the dvd's but big deal, really...there is also a booklet that comes with the Box set, its only 11 pages long and it counts the cover as a page. the pictures inside are so small and have been seen before, so nothing new.
Box set Cover.
Jeff Most doesnt even give respect to Brandon Lee by having him be on the COVER of the boxset, instead he has the actor Eric Mabius on the Boxset. just to let people Know there is another Crow.
Jeff Most is just trying to drain all the life from the Crow with this poor attempt of a box set. SAVE your money and just buy the original Crow on dvd. ...
