    This is a Awesome movie! I didn't want to see it @ first 'cause I had no idea what it was but my ma wanted to see it so I watched it and it WAS the bomb. I've watched it @ least 10 times, get it you'll love it! Jim Caviezel is HOT and... a great actor and i can't wait to see him in Mel Gibson's 'The Passion' which also looks really sweet! ( Mel also rulez) For n e one who would like to read the book I say go ahead but don't expect it to be the same as the movie, I mean it has the same plot but there is ALOT of difference, just to let you know. But it is still a great book, a classic. Read more Less

    A Classic Reborn, Made Just for The Younger Crowd

    Pros: Great Photoghaphy

    Cons: If you did not read the book, then this is the time to do it

    I am very fond of the classics,yet most of the time,a great book loses something in the translation. This is not the case here,it was well told,well filmed and the characters became more three dimentional, in this version. If you like swashbuckling, ...and well plotted revenge tales I say by all means see this one. Read more Less

    Pros: Good actors,good directing,convincing portrayals

    Cons: Might be a bit too long,but not too much.

    This is a moral play as so many great stories are.After being betrayed and used as a dupe--he is sent to prison.Here he is schooled by someone greater than himself and most others:another innocent man. After much training he escapes and locates a tre...asure that his cell mate had mapped before his imprisonment. He gets the treasure and begins to bait the trap that will exact vengence on his betrayers. In the end he is faced with becoming as they are if he murders his chief betrayer. Not to worry,his opponent is a rat and springs the trap that breaks his back. Very good story. Read more Less

    'the count of monte cristo' was just a great one .jim caviezel played perfectly .he is my favourit actor

    I am normally not into the historic sword fight movies, but this one was pretty good.Good story, scenery, acting and fight scenes.If you are looking for something a little different than machine guns, explosions, and horrible acting, give The Count a... shot! Read more Less

    This movie is the best version I've ever seen. The plot line is excellent and the swordplay speaks for itself. Excellent acting. I bought the DVD before even seeing it and I wasn't disappointed!
