Brilliant Action Movie
Pros: every feature, every scene and every other thing
Cons: compared to the book, uhmm, it's up to you
This is an intelligent film that requires your attention and brainpower all the time. In fact you need to pay attention to it once you start really watching. You can't simply stop it! I love the kind of movie that you hardly miss any detail. It's quite challenging to understand all the things unless you haven't read the book though. I myself read it after I had seen the movie. If you are one of the great majority of the people that are always trying to be cool, you will claim that the book is so much better. But for me each thing has the own certain advantages. The Movie may lack something important in the book, but it has some very cool too instead. And Matt Damon *drools* How I love him! Actually he acts perfectly, not mentioning his hotness. In conclusion, this is a must-have for anyone who's a fan of action/detective movies.

Cons: loved every bit of the movie
First of all if you liked the movie, you have to read the book. The book is probably the best I've ever read in any genre.
Most of the people who write reviews on this movie compare it to the original Robert Ludlum book and inturn expect the movie to portray the book's plot and storyline. Most of you probably dont know but another movie was made in the early 90s with same title that portrayed the book but the movie just completely sucked. I'd rather have the book by it self and the movie by it self.
The movie is great as long as you dont compare it to the book. And even if the book was made into a movie it would completely ruin the book.

Cons: departs a lot from the book
This is a very good action film, though it is only very loosely based on the book of the same name. The resourcefulness of the title character can be awe-inspiring. His ability to quickly figure out what's going on and take action is amazing.
The film doesn't make the same quick-editing mistakes that the sequel (The Bourne Supremacy) makes. In this movie, you can see the action and the fights without feeling disoriented and confused. Unfortunately that is not the case with the next movie.Was this review helpful? Yes - Nokick ass movie

Everybody that has read the book is able to
read a masterpiece of suspense.The CENTER of
this book and also reason of suspense is the
man called CARLOS. Now if you have not read it
you will not know what i am talking about and
this is the reason of writing this rview: IN
NO PLACE IN THE MOVIE THE NAME CARLOS IS
MENTIONED AT ALL. And this is a big mistake.
Besides , at the begining when he is in Zurich
this is not filmed there at all and all the
big things that happen there are not shown in
the movie.Instead the show a non sense chase
at the embassy and then later a very long car
chase that at a point makes no sense.
The film does not follow the book.
Besides this, is a good movie I recommend it
for all those who have not read the book.

i found this movie to be very exciting. it kept me on the edge of my seat and the fact that matt damon is in it just makes it all that much better. the story line starts out kind of jumbled but as the movie continues you find out the whole un confussed truth. i would highly recomend it.

Good movie, opens well , has a good story line with plenty of action. However the lead role was cast wrong imho. Matt is better suited for less dramatic roles . This role is more suited for a more aggresive type actor perhaps with a bit more age and experience.
