The Boondock Saints Rocked my World!

By Luna  Sep 25, 2004 | 1 out of 1 found this The Boondock Saints (2000) review helpful

Pros: Wixked awesome cast and director, nice twist at the end, interesting concept

Cons: a bit confusing, a lot of swearing and violence, so be warned

The Boondock Saints is an excellant film. While its explicit with its great amount of violence and swearing, it is also humourous and is almost a "feel good film" concerning the relationships between the brothers and their friend Rocco.&quo...t;Saints" can be confusing at times, especially when the film first starts with the fraternal twins Conner and Murphy praying in church. But the film has such an interesting concept that I found it to be delightful. The idea of these men who feel that GOd has selected them to rid the world of evil men and they go on their own personal crusade is intriging. William Dafoe is positively fantastic as FBI Agent Smecker who figures out how every crime scene is completed. The director makes the film interesting by showing the men preparing to perform their crime, then iot switches to Agent Smecker's point of view after teh crime takes place as he tried to determine how the crime happened. Then the director switches back the brother's pov and shows them performing their crime.I really enjoyed this movie and recommend it for people who enjoy action movies and crime movies. The only dowmn side of the dvd are extras. While 2 of the delted scenes are absolutly hilarious, the rest of them are barley any different than what was in the movie. There are only a few outtakes, and while they are amusing, they are few in quantity. My recommendation? See this movie today! Read more Less

Pros: good twist and good storyline

Cons: The Irish sure do know that F word so dont watch it with the kids

I loved this movie! Great story and you know the brothers were easy on the eyes. I loved the detective with the music it was a very different way to go through a crime scene. The brothers were very close and you can see the love they have for eachoth...er during the hot iron scene! Great movie its by far my faviorite!!! Read more Less
