The Black Neon (aka Stephen Webster) had already performed and released recordings on Memphis Industries with Toby Jenkins under the name Fort Lauderdale. However his solo endeavors under the alter ego made its recording debut on Memphis Industries 2001 7" single "You're So Vain".
