    A Good Movie for the Whole Family

    Pros: No violence or profanity

    Cons: Slow for today's fast pace audience

    Perhaps this movie is slow for many of today's fast pace audience, and perhaps values depicted in the movie have become old fashioned and outdated, but it brought back fond memories of the past and how our society was generations ago.     An absolutely perfect, feel-good holiday film,
    with Cary Grant in one of his most endearing and delightful roles. It came out the same year
    as "Miracle on 34th Street." Together, they make
    Christmas truly merry.

    This wonderful film stars Cary Grant as an angel named Dudley, who's sent to help a frustrated bishop (David Niven) raise money for a new church. This excellent film also stars the beautiful Loretta Young as the bishop's sweet but neglected wife. Thi...s is a terrific movie that is funny and touching all at once. Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven are all in top form. This is a great movie to watch during the holidays or any time of the year! Film also stars Elsa Lanchester, Monty Woolley and Gladys Cooper. Be sure to see this one! Read more Less

    A sweet movie I first saw as a kid,Cary Grant is dashing as Dudley the angel,Loretta Young in the title role is radiant and David Niven as the Bishop is stiff and rigid and funny all at the same time.Great for times we need reminders about the true ...meaning of "holiday spirit".
