Multiinstrumentalist Greg Kurstin and doeeyed vocalist Inara George deliver the stylish indie pop tones of the bird and the bee. The two musicians were introduced in 2005 by mutual friend Mike Andrews, who was producing George's solo debut, All Rise. It was during those sessions at Kurstin's Echo Park, CA, recording studio that the bird and the bee were born, for both musicians share a fondness for jazz standards and '60s tropicalia.
