The Beast
Pros: Good Film
Cons: A bit unrealistic in places
I enjoyed this film, I think the squid was realistic in most parts, but not in some places.
Would like to get a full version of this film on video or dvd, have it on tape which was recorded off the TV, but has adverts in parts.Was this review helpful? Yes - Noreal nice
I own 5 star movies, I'd rather watch this one. Most people would probably give it only 2 or three stars, because it's a T.V. movie, but it's strangely like READING a great hokey romance/

romance novel. It is visually beautifull, with an outstanding soundtrack. What makes it really unique is that is pretends to be set in Washington State, but was filmed on the beautifull semi-tropical West Coast of Austrailia, with scads of crazed Australilian extras and bit part players patheticly attempting American accents, and the American actors high on their Ausie vacation. This makes the film fresh and energized. I live between the California coast and the San Francisco Bay, I love the marina vibe, and this whole film is never 500 yards away from a marina. Nice cozy nautical feel. Lots of romantic angles. The Beast shows up often in the film and is very well done 90% of the time.--An enjoyable hokey romance adventure novel that's a film!Was this review helpful? Yes - NoNice Very Nice!!!!!!
