Synopsis: The Batman Superman Movie (1998)

Synopis: Two of America's best-known superheroes battle the forces of evil in an animated movie spectacular. The crime fighters join forces when the Joker and Harley Quinn steal a statue known as the Laughing Dragon.    1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this Batman Superman Movie review helpful Basically a long episode of either cartoon, but it shows us how Batman and Superman interact. I love how Batman never backs down or admits to Superman's superiority. Superman uses X-ray vision to find out who batman is? No problem, Batman places a tracer, follows Supes home and finds out who he his. I love when Superman says graciously, "I couldn't have saved Lois without you," and Batman turns away and coldly says, "I'm aware of that." I love it because it shows that Batman, a human (albiet a psychotic trillionaire), can stand toe to toe with a nearly unstoppable super powered alien. Great animation, as expected from the t.v. series, a good plot and just fun to see Superman/Batman and Lex/Joker interacting. ...

   This is definitely "B" material. I rented it having seen Mask of the Phantasm (a great movie) and was hoping for more of the same. Too bad this one just doesn't compare. Bummer.
