The Arsons started when New York band Greyarea took a rest in 2001, not officially breaking up but freeing the members to pursue other projects. Singer/guitarist/drummer Ernie Parada teamed with vocalist Marc Adams to start writing material for a rough-edged punk album, and soon they brought bassist Al Volonino into the fold.
