Synopsis: The April Fools (1969)

A bored and married Wall Street stockbroker (Lemmon) finds himself stretching his moral limits and falls in love with a beautiful woman (Deneuve). Little does he know that she is married as well and to his boss at that. Undaunted by the possibility of exposure or embarrassment he decides to give it all up and run away with her.

    Pros: Excellent acting

    Cons: DVD/VHS so difficult to find

    I will never forget the look on Catherin Deneuve's face when Jack Lemmon sat down beside her on the plane. Pure magic.

    Pros: A real and romantic movie

    Cons: Not found in DVD

    I saw this movie in a New York theatre in 1969, and since then I have been in love with it, because the acting of Deneuve and Lemmon was so convincing and natural, and the theme so common with too many loving people married to people not interested i...n love and romance, that the end of the movie means to me a call to all of us to check more carefully inside our hearts to see when there is or not real love for someone before taking the decision to tight knots (IN ANY WAY) for ever.
