Very good movie!
The book is excellent too! When they make a movie that is pretty close to the book, then you know you have a good thing. I saw this first about 20 years ago on Sunday Science Fiction theatre, and love disaster films like this! The acting is superb, the sci-fi part is superb, and although there were no special effects, the genious and well thought out matter makes me own this on Laserdisc and DVD.
