Pros: e intuneric in mare parte

Cons: un cur de film. nu are nimic interesant inafara de omu cu pusca

Nu stiu de la ce vine povestea filmului si cine a scris scenariu dar e de cacat filmu. Pe bune.. daca aveti ocazia nu-l vizionati. Poate doar daca sunteti amatori de filme idioate. Cam asta e tot. Noroc!

Although this movie wasnt really soooo scary, I still really like it. The part with all the black crap coming outta the walls and into the toilet was just plain gross, tho. And as for that George guy, you gotta feel kinda bad for him, he accually FELL in it. But the whole story was just about this house thats haunted by a family that was murdered about a year ago after a girl named Kathy and her family moved in. So alotta freaky stuff happens in the house, the priest guy knows somethings wrong when a buncha flies start to attack him, and he hears a voice saying GET OUT! But my favorite part was really the music, you know, with the little girls singing, i thought it was very cute. So you could watch the Amityville Horror anytime if youre bored, but its not that scary.

This movie was not really that scary, but thats just my opinion. I really like the music, you know, the kind with the little girls singing, thats probebly my fav. part. Ill say the onlyscary part was when the girl with the headgear got locked in the closet, and Amy wouldnt let her out cuz jody wouldnt let me. But i still watch this movi 4 fun!

Great

A decent, underrated ghost story

THE AMITYVILLE HORROR is by no means a great movie. It's not even a very good movie, really. It's uneven, the performances are patchy and the script is very one-dimensional. But when this movie works (which is only about half the time), it's one of the screen's better attempts at a serious ghost story. What this movie accomplishes that most other haunted house movies do not is a genuine sense of unease and creepiness without the aid of any special effects. Through nothing more than creative and effective editing, photography and direction, the filmmakers give us an eerie feeling of something not right, something just slightly askew that the characters in the movie can't put their finger on. To me, this is scarier than monsters jumping out of closets or apparitions appearing or furniture flying around. There's nothing more terrifying than what you can conjure up in your own mind, and the makers of AMITYVILLE HORROR know what buttons to push to make us do just that. While not a particularly good movie overall, there are moments in THE AMITYVILLE HORROR that are among the creepiest in horror cinema, including the movie's final twenty minutes, which is a flawlessly structured sequence of nightmarish suspense. It's a shame the rest of the movie isn't as good, but it's still worth a look for fans of a good ghost story.

Haunted house or insaine ? You decide

Lutz's by dream house. Weird shit goes on! Believed to be haunted in real life. TV specials about Amityville are much more interesting and scarier. Script fair and the movie is fair but at times it loses steam. If your bored go down to the video store and rent this. It isn't too bad to view at least once.

I hate AmityVille Horror and all the other Amityville Movies. But they got money for it..So i'll give them that.The Thing is i hate demons,ghosts,etc.

typical haunted house scenerio

I read the novel "Amityville Horror" three times. I've seen the movie three times. The movie cannot live up to the novel's passion and nightsweat-ability. The movie, while definitely a good "slumber-party-movie", is full of a theme so widely overused that after a while you feel like screaming yourself. The saving grace of the movie is that it IS loosely faithful to the actual documented case in Amityville, Long Island. Sadly this is a Hollywood version of the ghost story and of course it's overdramatic. I recommend the book .
