Indie popsters the Aislers Set were led by singer/guitarist Amy Linton, formerly of the late, great Henry's Dress; initially begun as primarily a solo project, the lineup later evolved into a veritable Bay Area supergroup featuring Track Star's Wyatt Cusick on guitar, Poundsign's Alicia VandenHeuval on bass and Scenic Vermont's Yoshi Nakamoto on drums. The debut Aislers Set LP, Terrible Things Happen, appeared on Slumberland in 1998; Fairways member Jen Cohen signed on to play keyboards the following year, with the excellent The Last Match following in mid-2000.
