the 13th Warrior
Pros: the acting was exceptional, the effects were awsom
Cons: a bit gory
Excellant Movie, the acting was good and Banderas, as I knew, was great. Although it was pretty Gory, we all enjoyed the story very much so. It can't, in anyway, be worse than what we read in the paper, or see on the news in our ever changeing world. Thank-you

A fast-paced action film about an Arab helping the Vikings, that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. It is a solid film, and can be enjoyed again and again.

Antonio is a foreignor chosen to be the 13th warrior to help fight something evil terrorising and killing off nordic colonies. Great action, adventure, and story. Great for any DVD collection.

After almost 600 years, a good story finally makes it to film. Somehow I feel that Michael Crichton stole a piece from an already written story, but he delivered in a new light.

ok this is the BEST guy movie ever, nothing but drinking, slaying, and a quest. There is no love scene, cept if you call a woman taking your hand, and you wake up under a wagon of hay. This movie, a bag of chips and some of your favorite alcoholic beverages make for a good way to kill 2 hours of your time. Now I could go on and on about the historical ( or not so historical) points about the movie, but lets face it, nothing,,, and I mean nothing is historically accurate in the movies. THEY ARE MADE TO ENTERTAIN US!!! This movie does an outstanding job doing it I should add.

On the contrary, he is a Hero who joins Vikings agains Neanderthal-like villains in this Crichton fantasy takeoff on Beowulf. Very good music score and action, but direction could have been a bit better as halfway in the film most of the Vikings sound distinctly Irish, and Banderas was quite hopeless attepting to sound Arab.

Watching this movie you immediately get the Beowulf notion but what you might have missed is how much of the film lifts scenes from Akira Kurosawa's epic, The Seven Samurai. There are so many parallel scenes its amazing more people didn't notice it. It would be nice if they came up with a better ending than the old Indian medicine man chestnut, but still a fun film.

Antonio Banderas kicks ass in this mid evil film taking place in the past. It is very violent and not suitable for young children. If u have a weak stomach or easily scared i don't recommend this film to you.

This movie is one of those kinds of movies that goes unheeded by the general public, but will appeal to the same kinds of audiences that pushed Conan the Barbarian, Highlander, Blade Runner, Resevoir Dogs and other to cult status. It grows on you the older it gets...like wine.

Very nice movie if you like fantasy stuff that is. The score is great and you gotta love the gruesome fight scenes. Plenty of gore here for most anyone. Lot's of action and some dramatic hero's. The ending is a bit corny but it's a movie so get over it. The ending music is great too..
