By far and wide this is the best of all the Tenchi Muyo series. The concept is interesting, the animation is great and with a very nice variety of themes ranging from the mundane (everybody taking care of a baby, for example), to pure Sci-Fi.Best of ...all, it's UNCENSORED! All the girls--except Sasami--appear nude at some point or another, and the subtitles for the Japanese translation reveal the English dub actually censored some pretty bold sex jokes (such as Washuu trying to get a sperm sample from Tenchi wearing a nurse's outfit.)Don't get me wrong, though. The series is NOT about sex. It gets really spiced up with the sex humor, but its main focus is not at all sex. So don't worry; this is not porn anime. It's just anime with an attitude.The only criticism I have to this DVD box set is it lacks one episode known as the "Mihoshi Special," in which Kiyone, who would have a major role in the Tenchi Universe series, would appear for the first time. This is really a shame since the box set includes two discs with all of the OVA episodes and a third one known as the "Tenchi Encyclopedia." They could've used the third disk for the Mihoshi special and make it a truly complete "ultimate" box set.All in all it's worth buying. Even the packaging is great (the design is really beautiful.) If you're a fan of the Tenchi series this definitely a must. Read more Less
