    Better than Nirvana's Nevermind

    This is a great album. Although I love Nirvana's Nevermind, I still think this album is better. For one thing, the guitars on this album sound amazing. Just by listening to this cd, you could see that Pearl Jam is more talented than Nirvana. The guit...ar solos are amzaing, and all the songs are awesome. I would say that this is the #1 album of 1991. Read more Less

    This album is one of my all time favorites of the grunge era. I'm glad Pearl Jam is still around since all the other bands aren't. I feel sorry for the kids today that have to suffer with regurgitated new kids s**t. 90's music scene was the best w...ith this album being one of the most influential.     Tricked you, HA!!!. but now that your here...Welcome my friends to the 100th YAHOO review of TEN, the higly overrated, yet kickass debut album from Pearl Jam. Written by none other than that f*ckhead that everyone wants dead (but secreatly adores) ...NO_RECESS21!!! Okay, let's start with a simple question. How many grunge albums have PJ made. If you answered 84, you're a bit confussed. If you answered 1, you're an a$$hole. If you answered 0 your a frickn' genious. "What???, but I thought PJ was that grunge band from Seattle that everyone loved ten years ago?", replies Joe Shmoe. Answer: PJ are from Seattle, but they aren't grunge, never were grunge, and won't ever be grunge. period. I've owned TEN for about four months, and so far I've found one very critical fault that prevent me from giving TEN a perfect ten. Fault numero uno: some, not all tracks are dated (meaning that they make you say, "ugh, this is SOOOO 1992") The songs that make me feel this way are DEEP, PORCH, and (please don't kill me) EVENFLOW. NOTE: live versions of BORTCH and WEVENFLO are exquisite, but the album fails to captivate their energy, thus on TEN, they are big, phat, losers.Other than that this ablum is near perfection. The first amazing track is Alive. This is THE PJ song to air guitar to. The blistering solo and Eddie's yelp's und ugh's are to die for. Black, if released as a single, would have been the biggest ballad in the history of rock, end of story. I can't think of anything more emotional than Ed's trembling at the end of this epic.Well I gave all I got to give on TEN and I hope you enjoyed yourself, even if you were hoping for porn.PS: JEREMY is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy overrated.     Pearl Jam is great. What they say about Eddie Vedder's voice doesn't count. Check out Jeremy, Alive, and Black. All songs are god though.

    A great album to listen to once every decade. No more, no less. Primus Sailing the Seas of Cheese was the best album of 1991. In the year of 2001 I can truly say that Primus are still kicking Pearl Jam in the ass...
