Téléphone
The French band Telephone made a name for themselves in their homeland playing Stones-influenced guitar rock with punkish protest lyrics often sung in their native language. Their self-titled 1977 debut and its follow-up, 1979's Crache Ton Venin, showcased the band's amateurish energy and the French Mick Jagger impersonation of lead singer Jean-Louis Aubert. Telephone switched to Virgin for 1980's Au Coeur de la Nuit, and two years later released an EP, Telephone, which featured some vocals...
