i mean, come on, the man has people like david bowie and thom yorke constantly praising him!...
this album is so cool. i remember getting sucked in when i was, like, 14 and they played "headache" on the radio, like, once.

I was a big fan of the Pixies, but when Frank went solo, I was skeptical. Teenager of the Year made me a believer. This is one the greatest albums of the 90's.

A culmination tics developed during Frank Black's previous work with the Pixies along with several new wrinkles. Each song is its own unique creative outburst, despite the cohesiveness of the album as a whole. It is simply amazing the wealth of fresh ideas that Frank Black can come up with utilizing the basic vocal/guitar/bass/drums (and sometimes keyboard) formula that has been used so many times before. He moves from classic rock to punk to country with ease. Even if you are one of those who swear by the Pixies, you at least have to give this work credit for its sheer effort and ambition. This is his best music.

this is a great album, even though it isn't the pixies. If the pixies played the instruments it would be even better.But it shows Frank Black is very talented on his own.

This album made my list for top ten albums of the 90's. I loved this album the first time I heard it, and I still love it.

Excelente disco, sin perder la potencia característica de los maestros Pixies,frecuentemenrte mostrada en canciones como Whatever happened to Pong, crea esta obra maestra mas popera que pixiesca, basta escuchar Calistan o Speedy Marie para saber de lo que estoy hablando...Orgásmico.
