    Very Pleased

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 8, 2000

I bought one for my parents for Christmas and like it so much am buying the same one for myself. Very easy to use and sounds great. I do agree with one of the reviews about the remote not being very useful. Overall a great product.

    Love it.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 6, 2000

I returned a Hamon Kardon AVR300 that was very difficult to operate. I purchased the Technics SDAX930 for less than 1/2 the cost of the H/K AVR300. It sounds as good and does not have some stubborn built in programing features the AVR300 offers. I do find that I cannot get the Tech-SADX930 into Dolby Digital using the remote. In fact I find the remote almost useless.

DTS Decoder built in! DVD's love it!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 12, 2000

Don't be confused by people who haven't learned how to set the clock on their VCR yet. A built-in DTS decoder is what you really need to enjoy great DVD sound. 3 digital inputs? Gee, I wonder what those are for? It's okay to like other stuff. It's even okay to spend way too much money. But if you want to save money when buying a DVD player then get a receiver with a built in decoder. This one's the best for the buck!

    Class Act All The Way

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 11, 2000

I have been converted over to the Technics, Panasonic brands by the pure fact that they are slightly ahead of their time, SADX930 is just another stepping stone in staying slightly ahead of the others but at a reasonable price, with a lot power, punch, and features. Example, one hot day last year, my area had power outage, power surge blew a fuse. But before I opened the unit, I was totally upset. I could not enjoy my home theater setup without it. So out of desperation, I opened the unit to find that a fuse had blown, I immediately went and purchase this $1.00 fuse (actually I got 3, so I would have extras). To this day, I can truly say that this is a class act.

    Try it!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 28, 2000

It is great. Powerful, tons of features, like Dolby Digital & DTS, easy to use. In stereo mode I get a strong and powerfull bass without subwoofer.
Technics DX930 have a help button which explain what to do if you have a problem.
It's a good deal for money.

    Candy-@$$ reciever

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 29, 2000

My brother has this reciever and it does not compare to my Kenwood VR-309. It sounds too bright and does not produce the tight bass the kenwood has. It does not have S-video switching. It has does not have banana plug speaker terminals. Also it has bamboo in it's circuitry!!! how ludicrous. It does not even have a universal remote. The rock says this, for less money you can buy a Kenwood VR-309 thats sounds much better. Do you think you can find a better deal......It does not matter what you think!!!!!! Do you smellllllllll what the rock is cooking?

    great for the price

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 16, 1999

i'm also a technics fan. have the sa-gx690, satx50 and now the 930. i really heated up the 690, had some towers, some 201's on top of those and some 2 way technics all hooked up to A. had a low-end sony c,rs,ls hooked up too it. played the heck out of it and it still works great. bought that when it came out, now it's in my bedroom. the satx50 is a great receiver, thats in my living room with some bp 2000's, (WIFE HATE'S THEM, TOO BIG. FRIENDS AND I LOVE THEM) the 930 is in my den now with some acoustic studio digital ready monitors hooked up too it, still have the 201's on top. have a 150 watt 15' sub, and infinity for my c,ls,and rs. the 930 is a great buy if you dont want too waste too much money. as for no digital input for a dvd player. can'nt comment on that, YET. but i will be able too in about 2 days. i'll be getting the dvd120.
