This movie is so true to the horrible, horrible actions of the rebel forces. These people have, and in many cases are still living in a nightmare. I could'nt see it when it came out in 2003, just knowing the history of the country. I watched it yesterday and watched it again because it was so powerful. The guys did an outstanding job as the seals with very little training. Everyone did. If this movie does'nt get you involved in current affairs around the world you have no soul.

I'm normally not a big fan of war pictures but this movie knock me off my feet and touch the very core of my being. I found myself totally osborbed into this movie and felt it tough to watch as well as to turn away. The characters were outstanding and Bruce Willis is as always an actor like no other. You found it hard to believe that these were actors and not actual solders that handled a situation that they could not bypass. I would recommend that everyone who was taken in as I was with this movie, recommend others to see it. You too will be touched with emotion.

By the cover of the movie it seemed that this movie was just an action movie, but boy was I wrong. This movie has suspense and also made me cry to no end.

Cons: Johnny Messner dies
I think this is the best military movie ive ever seen. Bruce and Monica have a great connection in the movie. It also had two extremly hot guys in it, Johnny Messner"Lake" and Paul Francis"Doc". Even though Johnny dies which is very heart breaking, it is a very good movie. It tells about the hard lives of Africans during a war over religion. Also its about Navy S.E.A.L.S. who fight the odds to save the people.

What a waste. Just a movie about people getting slaughtered. And the good doctor ignores common sense about being rescued to appear heroic. Storyline was unrealistic because they never would have survived in this situation.

Loved this movie. my heart was beating through out the movie and the african music picked for this movie was absolutely beautiful. The acting was great everything about this movie was great. I loved how they showed the passion between Willis character & Belluci character without them even touching each other. The navy seals all of them had me at every turn. The scene of when they go into the village to help the other people from the massacre took my breath away. By far this movie made me respect Bruce Willis & everyone in this movie as an actor. But by far my favorite characters in the Movie were Red, Zee & LT. This movie made me want to go out and be a Navy seal.....lol.. but great movie i recommend it highly..

Acting sucked, Bruce Willis just stared. The doctor played by the italian lady, was stupid, she didn't realized they were there trying to rescue her not the whole African people.

This movie was a huge disappontment. It had very little action, what you saw on the trailer is what you get. I would say this is a chick flic. Also I dont think that a Navy Seal would break the rules for anything. During one of the battle seens the grenades sounded like they were going off inside a studio or something. If I could take this movie back and trade for another I would.
