Tasmanian Devil: Munching Madness Game Boy Color

The Tasmanian Devil's best friend, Wendel T. Wolf, has been wolfnapped by Bull and Axl You take on the role of Taz through nine scrolling (in every direction) levels of whirlwind action in order to rescue the Wolfster. Your journey will take you through Taz's home island of Tasmania, the heart of Australia's outback, the Great Wall of China, down the slippery slopes of Switzerland and other adventurous locations.

Like in the famous Warner Bros. cartoons, this video game version of Taz is an eating machine. In fact, you must gobble all the food in a level before you can proceed to the next. Other items to pick up include Energy Hearts, which increase your energy, Orange Juice, which increases your energy and gives you temporary invulnerability, Chili Peppers, which enable you to spit three homing missiles, Turbo, which gives you temporary super speed and invulnerability, and 1Ups, which earn you an extra try. Each level has five Gold Medallions to collect, some of which are guarded by Bosses. The more medallions you find, the better chances you have of defeating your sworn enemies, Bull and Axl.

Each level in this game is viewed from a slightly angled, overhead perspective. As you run and jump around the various locals in order to collect items, pesky crabs, natives, giant snowmen, acrobatic warriors, piranhas, tourists, and other enemies will get in your way. You can whirl them into oblivion, spit on them (as long as you have food in storage), or simply avoid them. Also, you must avoid quicksand, molten lava, spike pits, barge-filled canals, and other hazards. To help you in your cause, you can get tips from friends that appear throughout the game.

Level eight takes place in Las Vegas. Here you must find and defeat Bull and Axl, and save your best friend. New allies appear on this level and they have lots of useful information about all the other levels in the game. With this new information, you will probably want to go back and discover new items that you may have overlooked the first time through the game. The final level is top secret.
