T.M.X. Elmo will tickle America's funny bone with three interactive tickle spots on his chin, tummy or toe. When kids tickle Elmo once on any of the tickle spots, he starts to laugh and slap his leg twice, then falls down into a sitting position and rocks himself back up to standing while laughing. When they tickle him a second time, he repeats the pattern even more, then sits down again and falls backwards onto his back and starts kicking his feet while laughing even harder. He then stands back up and asks to be tickled again. And on the third tickle he absolutely lets loose going through the first two patterns and then rolling over onto his tummy where he starts hitting the floor with his hand in gales of laughter, then rolling onto his back, standing up again, and ending with a deep sigh. Requires 6 AA batteries.

TMX Elmo...Cute but Annoying..it evens out

By David  Oct 4, 2006 | 27 out of 32 found this TMX Elmo review helpful

Pros: Cute the first 3 or so times you play with it

Cons: Annoying any more than 3 times

I happened to be in the right place at the right time when I came accross the TMX elmo. After remembering how popular the original one was years ago, I decided to purchase a few of these toys for the holiday season. Now these are very well packages,... and look really cute..but when you start to play with them, they become so annoying. I took one to the office to show some of my co-workers. When you "tickle" him, he starts slapping his knee, then rolls on the floor laughing uncontrollably. He then stands up again (or tries to if you have carpet) and resets himself. This toy is really cute..but be prepared for the annoyance after the holidays. They should come with a set of complimentary ear plugs for the parents. One more thing..battery life is not that great. But for the technology..this is a great toy. Read more Less

    Pros: Very cute

    Cons: robot like

I bought it for my daughter. She was afraid of it. And she loves Elmo. She would hide from it. We actually returned it. In talkingwith other people, I have found the same thing to be true with their children. Elmo is supposed to be cuddly and this tm...x elmo is a robot. Hard body and his tickle spots actually have to be pressed not tickled. Conclusion: adults seem to like it, but children are afraid of it. Read more Less
