T.K. Webb, a well known and well respected Deltastyle blues guitarist, got his start in Kansas City, MO, playing in a number of punk rock bands, before resettling in New York and honing his skills as a bluesman in that city's live circuit. After the release of his first two albums, 2005's KCK and 2006's Phantom Parade, both of which were critically lauded, Webb decided to flesh out his sound a bit and formed the Visions. Making up the new backing band were guitarist Brian Hale (formerly of Love as Laughter), Nic Gonzales (of the Comas, Love as Laughter, and Blood on the Wall on drums), and Jordan Gable taking on the bass role. The band soon found themselves in the studio, working on the new T.K. Webb album, Ancestor, which was released in 2008. The rest of that year was spent on the road in support of the album, including a nationwide U.S. jaunt with Swedish protometal outfit Witchcraft.
